13 Sep R U OK? | CRANAplus Bush Support Services
In conjunction with world suicide prevention day and the R U OK campaign in Australia. We wanted to remind you all that it’s OK not to be OK!.
You never know what issues an individual is dealing with and although the persona on the outside may not indicate anything, the reality on the inside can be very different. Mental Health issues will affect around 50% of people at some point in their life.
By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up. If they say they are not ok, you can follow to conversation steps on the R U OK website to show them they’re supported and help them find strategies to better manage the load. If they are ok, that person will know you’re someone who cares enough to ask.
Follow the steps:
- Encourage Action
- Check In.
Whilst we will always invite you to talk with your specialist consultant or line manager, it may be that you require additional support.
We are partnered with the CRANAplus Bush Support Service.
