Psychologist opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence based interventions and behaviour support via NDIS, aged care, workers compensation or medicare.

Entailing outreach service delivery from clinic-based and community-based settings from both South-West Sydney and Sydney Metropolitan.


Role Responsibilities:

Clinical Service Provision:

  • Provide high quality assessment and intervention for clients within the context of Psychological Health care in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner, in keeping with accepted best practice standards. This will include clinic-based appointments and home visits
  • Undertaking comprehensive functional behaviour assessments
  • Developing person-centred Behaviour Support Plans, and working within a multidisciplinary team to implement recommendations
  • Training and supporting colleagues, providers and families to implement Behaviour Support Plans and related strategies
  • Proving counselling and intervention strategies to clients
  • Ensure integrated service delivery and follow up, coordinating and communicating as required with other relevant internal, visiting and external providers


  • AHPRA registration as a registered Psychologist
  • Strong commitment to inclusion of people with disabilities within the community
  • Writing and implementing behaviour support plans under NDIS
  • Experienced in functional behaviour assessment
  • Providing evidence based interventions including therapy, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, narrative exposure therapy
  • Working with challenging behaviours, personality disorders, chronic pain and disabilities
  • Ideally some experience working with children
  • Experience dealing with challenging behaviours and the ability to mentor staff in this area
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Be flexible, highly motivated, possess emotional intelligence, maturity, sense of humour
  • Current NSW driver’s licence
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including GPs, Multicultural Health Workers and Allied Health staff
